Active Lifestyle - Summer Smoothies

Image
If your based in England you know how relieved we are to see the sun! Summer time has come at last and the weather is brighter and warmer. So what better way to cool down then a smoothie, a delicious way to stay healthy. Whilst in England smoothie bowls have just been discovered, it's not new to warmer parts of the world where you can get summer fruits all year round. Places like Bali (Indonesia & Asia)  have fresh produce at there finger tips but this is only because people source their fruit from local farmers markets, which makes the produce really organic and natural (not from local super-markets like us Westerners). So if your thinking about making your own, it's really worth going to a farmers market at the right time of year or grow some berries in your back garden (we all went blueberry picking as children, right? Well it's time to start that past time again). The best smoothie's are always made with fresh fruit and produce (nuts, coconut chips and

Active Lifestyle - Essential Oil Therapy

Image
You can use essential oils in 3 ways; topically, internally and aromatically. Whilst oils can be a perfect relaxation method they can also be used to strengthen your immune system and physical health. Essential oils use Lavender, Melaleuca, Lemon, Oregano, Peppermint, Ginger and Frankincense (along with many more) to help the digestive system, sooth skin irritations, clear sinuses and relieve muscle pain. If you live a healthy lifestyle there is nothing worse then your own body stopping you from being active. To prevent this from happening we need to take all precautions and examine the different possibilities that may protect our wellbeing. Natural remedies are the oldest form of healing, they were used before doctors and chemists. Before the 13th century we used natural ointment as a form of medicine, the majority of the general public would go to their local witch doctor for these ointments. However this changed after the 13th century as the church branded them as magic

Last year (2017) took me on ventures I never expected to experience at the start of the year. Life revolved and I was forced to live in the present. This lead me to putting all my personal belonging into storage and set off into the unknown. I had no idea where my 'life' path would take me and so all I could do is live in the moment. At this point I didn't realise all the amazing people I was going to meet, the breath taking views I was going to see or the magical moments I was going to experience. Amongst the fear of the unkown (not knowing when I was going to return to England), I started to feel liberated and a feeling of freedom filled my soul. So I embraced the change and traveled to Portugal (where I heard it was good for yoga and surfing). As soon as I arrived in Portugal I was greeted with like-minded beautiful souls from all around the world. I feel very grateful that I was in the same place at the same time as such wonderful people (some of them are now my life

But what is the social and environmental impact of this, does there need to be a fashion revolution? Transparency Trend Maybe designers need to become more transparent in their supply chain and consider environmental issues to make sure we have a future?! Since the growth of globalisation, the fashion industry supply chain has expanded and operations have become increasingly international. Modern technology has provided the opportunity for fashion businesses to spread their resources far and wide, in a connected global economy. Globalisation has brought many advantages to business growth, such as wider choice, access to resources in the mass markets and competitive prices. However, there are also disadvantages that need to be addressed as business grow and spread internationally. As fashion busines
