Active Lifestyle - Essential Oil Therapy

You can use essential oils in 3 ways; topically, internally and aromatically. Whilst oils can be a perfect relaxation method they can also be used to strengthen your immune system and physical health. Essential oils use Lavender, Melaleuca, Lemon, Oregano, Peppermint, Ginger and Frankincense (along with many more) to help the digestive system, sooth skin irritations, clear sinuses and relieve muscle pain.


If you live a healthy lifestyle there is nothing worse then your own body stopping you from being active. To prevent this from happening we need to take all precautions and examine the different possibilities that may protect our wellbeing.

Natural remedies are the oldest form of healing, they were used before doctors and chemists. Before the 13th century we used natural ointment as a form of medicine, the majority of the general public would go to their local witch doctor for these ointments. However this changed after the 13th century as the church branded them as magical or potent. Ointments were no longer accessible to the general public so the demand and knowledge about natural remedies decreased.

This has lead to a massive impact on today's understating of treatments, we are unaware that nature can provide such resources. So maybe we need to open our minds' to the possibility that we don't need to rely on man-made products from the chemist to heal everything. That nature has it's own source of medication and if all the natural ingredients are mixed together correctly we can produce remedies that help us live a healthier lifestyle.


I had the pleasure of meeting Francesca Deith (yoga teacher and oils expert) and learnt all about the wonderful different benefits of doTERRA Essential Oils. She mixed some together for me and since then I have been using them every day. It seems one dose or drop a day does keep the doctor away.

What are the benefits of natural ingredients?

What are the doTERRA Essential Ointment remedies?
  1. Deep Blue: Helps relieve muscle and joint pain. It contains blue transy and helichrysum which helps support long-term muscle, joint and bone healing. The ointment can be applied directly onto the skin and should be used before and after work outs.
  2. Breathe: Gives respiratory support. It relaxes the body and mind for a more restful night sleep and helps clear the lungs and sinuses in allergy season. It can be defused and inhaled or rubbed directly onto the chest.
  3. DigestZen: Supports the digestive system and relieves discomfort such as food poisoning, acid reflux, nausea and diarrhea.This should be applied in a capsule or on the stomach area.
  4. On Guard: Defends the natural immune system. This oil stops the growth of viruses and bacteria. It contains antibiotic-resistant staph bacteria which helps kills airborne pathogens. It can be defused or swallowed, if you swallow one drop then it will protect you from colds or sore throats.
